| Sense Worldwide February News |
Winter seems to have finally passed in London and looking at the World weather maps it appears a lot of you will be basked in glorious sunshine too this weekend. Finally! Sunglasses are out in force around Soho and within days I can guarantee some sightings of people wearing shorts.
February has been a time of change here at Sense Worldwide, with Jhanne, who many of you know and love, moving on and the arrival of myself to help run and hopefully improve the Sense Network. I'm going to be doing a complete revamp of just about everything, so am keen to hear from you with your opinions, loves, hates, annoyances and everything in between to help make this much more worthwhile all round.
We have started work on some really exciting projects, finished judging the Sense Moments competition and had our hands full up in the loft with our Make Me A Speaker and a whole range of workshops and events.
All the best,
Luc

First Things First |

|
So... I suppose I better tell you a bit about me. Having been a Senser for quite a few years now, I've taken the leap from being Publisher of SUPERSUPER Magazine to the hallowed halls of Sense Worldwide.
I'm going to be masterminding a brand spanking new Sense Network, full of all the bells and whistles that really matter, to enable some real interaction for all our Sensers across the globe. I really need your help in doing this, so please if you have a moment take some time out to write to me and suggest what you really want out of a network like Sense's.
We will also be running a workshop in the next few weeks to talk about things in more detail. If this interests you let me know, it's your chance to really shape the future of the Sense Network.

Sense Moments of 2009 |

|
We had a great response to our competition, with a very close call for the winner and the runners up.
Congratulations go out to Jeffrey Abramson from Culver City, USA for winning the top prize of a trip and stay anywhere else in the world to the value of £750. I expect some equally inspirational photos coming our way from his trip.
We've put together a nice little PDF of all the highlights. Download it.

Cholesterwhat...? |

|
We're working with a well-known brand on ways to help people better understand how to lower their cholesterol. We want to get Sensers with informed opinions and creative input to help us better explain to consumers what cholesterol is, how it can be lowered and what brands need to do to be trusted.
If this issue affects you or someone you know let me know. There's a £90 reward for those taking part and a hefty £40 finders fee if you recommend anyone that ends up taking part!

Make Me A Speaker |

|
Just over two weeks ago we hosted an event in the Sense Loft organised by Laura North called 'Make me a Speaker'. We extended the invite to a limited amount of Sensers, from which there was quite a lot of interest.
It was a great success and hopefully there'll be a follow on event soon. Have a look at all the speakers and videos on the blog that Laura set up at SpeakingoutEvents.com.

Getting Brands Working Together |

|
You might remember us mentioning in the last newsletter about the project we’ve been running with NESTA and Discovery Channel, getting various brands together to co-create joint ventures - click here for more info.
In the end we were really pleased to have Campbell’s Soup, Cancer Research UK, Diageo, Do The Green Thing, E.ON, Microsoft, Procter & Gamble, Royal Mail, Sagem and Samsung in the mix.
After an alignment workshop in January to get everyone up to speed with the Discovery Species research that provided load of insights on which to develop ideas, we held the co-creation workshop last week and some interesting collaboration ideas came up that we’ll be helping to drive forward.
We’ve been asked to present the initiative at a few conferences this year and are hoping it might herald a new way for companies to work together, looking outside not in, for new directions. We’d love to get some Sensers involved in future work so watch this space.

If you were to make a television documentary, what would your subject matter be?
"...I would focus on modern day stereotypes and what different groups have to go through in their every day lives. I would not just show the negatives and the prejudice that they face in their every day lives, but would also show how they live their lives and get enjoyment, therefore hopefully creating an understanding between different groups."
